Why I Do This Work
After spending decades inside dealership operations, I saw the same problems repeat themselves — too much of the same inventory, inconsistent buying discipline, aging units tying up cash, and well-intentioned managers buried in day-to-day noise.
Most stores don’t need more theory. They need practical execution, clear decisions, and someone who’s actually sat in the chair.
That’s where I come in.
I’ve spent over 20 years in automotive operations, including senior leadership roles with CarMax. Over my career, I’ve appraised and purchased more than 25,000 vehicles, managed regional auction operations, and worked directly with dealer groups on inventory strategy, pricing execution, and wholesale decisions.
In addition to used operations, I bring hands-on experience with franchise new-vehicle ordering and mix configuration, including Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Ram, and Toyota. I understand how OEM allocation, trim mix, option packages, and floorplan exposure impact profitability, inventory balance, and cash flow — and how missteps on the new side often create downstream pressure on used.
I understand how buying decisions affect turn, margin, recon flow, and cash — because I’ve lived it, not modeled it.
